If you are on this page is because you are wondering why my blog is bilingual, so I would let you know below.

I am Venezuelan, which is why my native language is Spanish, and I moved on 2014 to London to improve my English, and I love to write.

Practice makes the master

One of the things that they told us in the language course is that in order to write better in English you have to practice, just like anything else in life. So that is the original reason about why I decided to launch my blog in both languages.

Languages and cultures

Knowing another language, besides our mother tongue, builds bridges between cultures. Each language has its idioms and phrases, things that you can’t translate word by word because it might loose its meaning. Sometimes it feels like the words are completely different, and the same in so many aspects. So, for the time being, I will continue writing to build bridges, because knowledge can bring us together, we can share tools, and for sure we’ll work better together if we understand each other.

Who writes

In case you were wondering, I am the one who writes all my posts in both languages. If I knew more languages I will probably write on those as well.

Constructive criticism

One last thing, I kindly ask you that if you ever read a post and you feel I need to make a correction (in any language), please let me know through the contact page. I value a lot the constructive criticism, and I am only human, so I know I make mistakes.

One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way
